FRIENDSHIP: What does your bond mean to one another?

When we are children, we begin to have that strong bond with numerous people. We are endeared with their closeness, their love and their abilities to want to care for us the way we care for them. At times those friendships get stronger. When life keeps you near each other, it tends be one of those relationships that one grows old with and the appreciation for one another becomes more powerful.
Friendships are amazing whether they are composed of male and male, female and female or male and female. It does not matter. At times, we grow into becoming different beings and decide to move on from old friendships onto new ones. Other times, someone crosses the line and relationships drift apart. Most adults at some point in their lives have had those issues, some more than others. Yet, when we see each other for who we are, as loving and willing to be there for one another to fulfill friendship duties, then they are likely to stay with each other for a lifetime.
Children later reach adulthood and although some adults continue to have the same mentality as children. Meaning, where they want to feel that closeness and openness with one another, even though the other adult may not feel the same way. It is either the fact that some adults limit their honesty or they have slowly felt that friendship slip away. Relationships can be complicated regardless of what type it is, platonic or romantic, etc. Having close relationships with anyone, including family members can be a bit of a roller coaster-like psychological experience.
Some people tend to believe friendships are personal only to a certain degree, yet when they are in romantic relationships, they share everything with that other person. There are also people who do not like to share anything with one another. And some who have great friends, but replace them with new ones depending on how they feel, of course. Regardless, friendships mean something different from person to person. There are some people who would kill to protect friendships, others fight for their friends, others would not risk anything and so on. It does not take away from the reality of those sharing the friendship. Everyone accepts friendships on different terms.
When some people put too much energy and passion into friendships, others may ignore it. Yet, when there isn’t much to give, some friends reprimand them. Time on earth is so unexpected. We have time and we lose time. Finding the right friends that complement one's style is essential to long lasting connections. Enjoying friendships without feeling like it is fulfilling someone else a favor makes the friendship that much more authentic. Know whom to become friends with and if the meaning of friendship is synonymous to each others, then enjoy it to the fullest. If not, figure out how to work it out. Worse comes to worse, find new friends.
