- Tinseltown Studios is a place where people (adults and children) come together to turn their dreams into reality. We have helped many amateurs in the entertainment industry focus on and reach their goals. Our business model revolves around giving back to the people and letting them know that their wishes and aspirations really do matter!
2. Where is it located?
- It’s located in Douglasville, Georgia in the United States.
3. What kinds of kids are involved in your camp?
- We have a wide variety of learners. We also teach autistic students and learners diagnosed with ADHD. We work with children who have literacy issues and shy students as well. Once we have taught them a course of their choice, they are entitled to leading roles in each showcase. Last summer, one of our students had the chance to host a showcase. When he first started taking lessons, he barely spoke. Now, he is quite outgoing.
4. What is the age group of your learners?
- We teach from ages 5 to 15. We also work with Junior Edu-Tainers who are younger staff members working as camp counselors. They range from 15 to 19 years old. These staff members are not only learning multiple skills, but they are also learning how to maintain healthy work ethics in their teens.
5. How long have you been in business?
- We just celebrated our one-year anniversary on April 26th 2014, however, we have been mobile for about 7 years.
6. What makes Tinseltown Studios stand out from other similar camps?
Tinseltown offers a full performing arts program, which encompasses:
- Digital Media Arts (Filmmaking)
- Acting for theater/film
- Dance
- Music
- Drum line and so much more
7. How many autistic and special needs kids do you have?
- Out of 30 students, we have approximately 10.
8. How do they learn in comparison to other learners?
- We are able to help them through repetition as well as incorporating TPR (Total Physical Response) activities. It is fun!
9. What do you like most about Tinseltown Studios?
- We are changing lives one learner at a time.
10. If you could convince others to visit Tinseltown Studios in one word, what would that be?
- Stupendous!
