Mistakes: Can they kill us or make us stronger?

CHIBA, JAPAN -What is the biggest mistake you have ever committed? Has it repeated itself over and over? Does it haunt you from time to time? Do you ever wish you could go back and amend it? The world is full of people making them, myself included. Some of which are nonsensical while others are extreme. Yet, there is no reason in pointing them out because one cannot go back in time to avoid them nor would it make sense to stir up negative rusty feelings about the past. This is what society is going through today and has been experiencing for ages. People continue to be haunted by their mistakes.
Countless individuals slip up every hour of every day doing somethings they know they should not do or in which they feel is morally wrong to take part in. It would not be a blooper if one did not have room to fix it. From all walks of life, we experience them. It makes it hard for kids, teens, college students, adults and let's not leave out the celebrities. What can be done to correct the 'mistake' concern from causing us to harm ourselves physically and/or emotionally?
Friends and family have shared circumstances with me from professional to personal. Some snafus have caused them their jobs and others their reputation. In some cases, their own families. I have no room to be a judge. I listen. In come our beliefs. Tons, if not all of us have some sort of beliefs. Every now and then, we can become a bit attached and stuck on following them to the point of criticizing others -as if we have control over them. This article touches upon some instances of young ladies who have taken their lives away because of the pressures of their mistakes and constant cyberbullying.
Lately in America, teens are rampantly becoming open to physically expressing themselves in the midst of a socially overt society. This only compares to a few decades ago. Some of these acts have ruined their stature and left major indents or they simply rid themselves. The question is; in a society where teens and college students are experimenting new avenues, how are the parents aiming to avoid this growing tragic epidemic?
Young females are killing themselves due to the lack of trust they put on their pseudo friends. The worst part is not merely the spread of their personal business, but the steady bullying that follows. It only doubles or triples the embarrassment and self loathing. Most of us already know where some of this has resulted in, gruesome deaths! In the last few years, America has experienced a surge in teen suicide rates, -in cases like these, young ladies. They want to test new waters and keep some privacy, but confide in someone they trust. However, once they are betrayed, the victims cannot handle the overwhelming pressure of social network bullying.

This leads to another topic altogether. Boys are usually praised when they exploit themselves with loads of girls and sometimes even women. On the contrary, girls are labeled and degraded the moment they follow the same route. This double standard began well before select groups began stamping the laws of life and assigned the morals females would have to follow. Independently, this takes a toll on anyone and since females tend to be more sensitive, it can make matters run from bad to worse in seconds.
In 2012, one particular story fired up all over the media. A 15-year old girl, who experimented with the football players at her school was vexed until she was fed up. As Felicia Garcia waited for her train in her hometown of Staten Island, while weeping she fell back onto an oncoming train. In the Daily Mail Online article, one teen asserted that "She was bullied… She wouldn't have done it if she wasn't bullied." It is clear that bullying is one main reason for a gush in teen suicide rates.

Nearly two years pass by and Alyssa Funke, a 19-year-old university student, was no exception either. An intelligent and remarkably beautiful student who pecked at pornography also ended her life out of embarrassment and the strain from old classmates. As seen on a video she took part in, Funke demonstrated slight discomfort. There seemed to have been ulterior reasons for her to embark on porn. Assessing her facial expressions leaves the impression that she was unsure about what she was about to get into. After all, whether it is a million-dollar industry or not, it is shameful in the eyes of a majority. Stories like these continue to make waves in young girls across the nation when it connects with the engagement of these types of sexual acts. In turn, they diminish the status quo images and many of these young ladies become depressed. How did bullying end Ms. Funke's life? She simply bought a shot gun, went to her family's boat and blew her life away. This is worse than a horror movie! Two questions to all the bullies out there, how much power did this give you? What would you do if this were your sister or your beloved friend? Not only should girls grow up to learn how to tackle worse situations than these, but bullies step down from their roles, wise up and save the harsh words.
Let's come up with solutions to these questions!
Where does the bullying epidemic end?
Who is having one-on-one conversations with today's girls, teens and young ladies?
How can we help them to either learn how to deal with constant criticism and laugh about it, like most celebrities do?
Finally, how can we find ways to guide them into ceasing their suicidal thoughts?
